Leonor Trindade Sousa

Biografia

Leonor Trindade Sousa was born in Vagos, Portugal. She completed her secondary education in the arts at Liceu Dr Manuel Laranjeira in Espinho, the city she grew up in.

Since she was a teenager, her intuition, taste and curiosity awakened her to the world of the arts, particularly painting. However, she has also shown an appetite for poetry, crochet, embroidery, decoration, etc.

Leonor is a self-taught artist, using a variety of techniques… from figurative to abstract… from acrylic to oil… Leonor has painted several collections.

Her work has travelled to many countries across several continents: Europe, Africa, Asia and America.

Over the last 15 years she has taken part in many exhibitions, some solo, others group, both nationally and internationally: France, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Luxembourg, Denmark, Brazil, Mexico, Turkey, India, USA, Argentina, South Korea, Iran, Egypt, Mexico, among others.

She was elected Ambassador of Portugal to Denmark, Italy, Brazil and Guatemala.
In 2019, in collaboration with the Mariners of Hope, she delivered two paintings to the Caribbean Museum in Colombia.

In recent years she has received various awards in different countries.
Various international art awards in Italy (Rome, Venice, Florence, Milan and Mantua), Spain, France, Chile, Malaysia, Dubai, India and Luxembourg, Grand Master of Arts Award in Italy (Florence and Milan) and Brazil, Apotheosis Feminina and Immortal Award in Brazil, Artist of the Year Award in 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 in Brazil and Italy, the Artistic Creativity Award in Italy and Monaco, the Great Women of Art Award in Italy, the Artist of Excellence Award in India and Italy (Venice) and the Protagonist of the Arts Award in Washington, United States of America, among many others.

She has also participated in various International Art Books: 50 Best Contemporary Artists Yearbook, Italy, Masterstroke Book, India, I Segnalati Art Book, Budapest, Great Universal Art Encyclopaedia, Italy, Artisti Contemporary Art Book, Italy, Great Masters of Contemporary Art, Italy, among others.

Life has given her the ability to express herself through art.
